What is the objective of the Women In Corporate Allies 2022?
The Women In Corporate Allies virtual conference is a space for Indian women across domains/ industries and at different stages of their careers, to come together in a positive and thoughtful space. Discussions at the conference are meant to help you progress faster in your career, find a new job/return to work after a break, renew your motivation at work and better manage your work-life interactions.
Who can/should attend?
WICA is an inclusive spaces, and welcomes all women, including both cisgender and transgender women. We use the term women to include cis-gender as well as trans-gender women, believing firmly in an inclusive space for all women. We also welcome you if you identify as non-binary, gender-fluid or gender-queer. Men who would like to be allies to women at work, and better understand the challenges and needs of their female peers and reportees at work will also benefit from attending this conference.

Is there a fee to attend the conference?
No, the conference is free to attend, and registrations will open shortly. All Award Nominees will automatically receive a pass to attend, and do not need to register again.

What is the objective of the Women In Corporate Awards being presented at the conference?
Adjudged by an eminent panel consisting of experts across domains, functions and diverse life experiences, the Women In Corporate Awards 2022 is designed to bring to light the growing presence and success of women in India Inc. The Women In Corporate Awards 2022 are awarded to women who have significant achievements to show, as Innovation, Diversity or Growth Champions within their organisations and industries.
What are the categories under which awards are being presented?
3 categories of awards will be presented:
WICA Growth Champions (For women in corporate India who have powered team/company growth)
WICA Diversity Champions (For women in corporate India who have enabled true diversity in the company)
WICA Innovation Champions (For women in corporate India who have powered product, business or process innovation)
What's more, in each award category, jurors will be recognising women at different stages of their career:

Emerging WICA (women with 3 to 7 years work experience)

Luminary WICA (women with 8 to 14 years work experience)

Trailblazer WICA (women with 15 to 22 years work experience)
Can I nominate myself for the award?
Yes, we encourage women to nominate themselves for this award.
Can I nominate someone else for the award?
Yes, although you must have their consent to do so. Moreover, we request that you nominate women whose work you are closely familiar with, as a colleague/manager/HR partner.
What are the criteria to nominate myself/someone else for an award?
- The nominee must currently be working, as a salaried professional
- The nominee must have work experience between 3 and 22 years in total
- The nominee must spend at least part of the year working in India, although her scope of work could be international
Can someone based in a country outside India apply?
Yes, provided she spends at least part of her year working in India, although her scope of work could be international
Can entrepreneurs apply for the awards?
These awards are meant for salaried employees/professionals only. As the metrics to gauge the work of salaried professionals and entrepreneurs could vary significantly, entrepreneurs, self-employed or freelancers should not apply.
Why is there a processing fee for the awards?
The processing fee of Rs.750 is only meant to enable organisers to process a large number of applications and organise the event in a productive manner for all attendees. Paying the processing fee does not entitle any nominee to an award, which is completely impartial and based on scores and jury discretion.
I would love to nominate myself but cannot afford the fee at this point in time. What should I do?
We do not want to turn away any potential nominee in case you are unable to afford the fee at this point in time. Please write to us at community@womensweb.in and we are happy to send you a fee waiver. This would apply especially for people from any marginalised backgrounds such as women with disability, transgender women, Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi and women from financially underprivileged backgrounds.
What is the last date for nominations?
Last date has been extended to September 22nd, Thursday, 2022, 10 PM due to the requests we have received.
I paid the processing fee but have not received the email with the complete nomination form. What should I do?

I submitted the complete nomination form, but made some errors and would like to submit again. What should I do?

How are the awards decided upon?
The nomination forms submitted are evaluated by a jury panel. (Details of jurors coming up shortly!)
Each entry for the respective category would be evaluated on the basis of a total score achieved on the nomination form. The scoring scale will be on a total of 60 points split across each relevant section that maps various aspects of your achievements. Should there be a tie in the score, the final decision regarding the awards rests with the jury and the organisers.
Can I apply in more than one category?
Yes. Please email us at community@womensweb.in if you have already applied for 1 category (Growth/Diversity/Innovation) and wish to do so for another. You would not need to pay a processing fee again.
Can I apply even if I was on the shortlist or an awardee in previous years?
Yes, there is no bar on re-applying this year even if you were on the shortlist or awarded in any previous year.
When will the awards be presented?
On October 12th, 2022
